The Wells Turbine rotates continuously in one direction in spite of the direction of the airflow (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wells_turbine). Yet what happens with the airflow if we start spinning the Wells Turbine, especially in a direction opposite to its normal rotating direction? I guess it will start producing a sound.
